A Midnight 4th of July Parade

Thousands of cheering spectators will line the streets of downtown Gatlinburg at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4th, as this 42nd annual tradition of the first Independence Day parade in the nation begins. Named as one of the “Top Ten Parades to See in the U.S.” by National Geographic Traveler Magazine and one of the “Five Best Fourth of July Celebrations in Smaller Cities” by, this nationally-recognized event stretches for more than a mile. Previous year’s attendance has reached as many as 80,000, so all visitors are advised to come early for an optimal viewing spot.
