Brookside Resort is just 3 blocks from downtown Gatlinburg but, when you’re on the property, it feels like you’re miles away from anything but peaceful relaxation. What Brookside Resort Hotel Offers
Located less than a half mile up The Parkway from Light 3 in Gatlinburg, our 10 acre resort offers ample free parking for guests and buses. Activities include

Swim in our 2 seasonal, outdoor pools. Big kids play in our 8 foot waterfall and little kids love the kiddie pool. Or take it easy and sun on our elevated deck and people watch. Relax to the sounds of the Roaring Fork River as it cascades from the National Park through the resort grounds, feed the birds from our covered bridge or enjoy the River Walk along the Roaring Fork. Hop on the Gatlinburg Trolley just outside the front office door or walk to the world famous Ripley’s “Aquarium of the South”. Take the lift up to Ober Gatlinburg, the south’s southernmost ski hill and bear habitat or any number of local attractions and restaurants. Visit the Great Smoky Mountain National Park or Gatlinburg’s famous Arts and Crafts Community; the largest in-residence arts and crafts community in the country. There is so much to do . . . you will just need to keep coming back to Brookside.
Don’t forget, just a short drive away is into Pigeon Forge is Dollywood, The Island at Pigeon Forge, Old Smoky Moonshine Distillery and Dixie Stampede. “Shop Til You Drop” at the country’s busiest outlet mall, Tanger Outlet!
Our rustic, comfortable accommodations are located in three buildings: the 3-story LeConte Tower, the 4-story Clingman Tower or the 2-Story Creekside Ranch. Our new 4000 sq.ft. Event Center provides luxurious space for receptions and meetings. Catering menus available upon request through Great Smoky Mountain Catering Company, which Brookside acquired in 2015. Guests can also enjoy the state-of-the-art exercise room, guest laundry, Wi-Fi, and meeting room.
Our extra large rooms offer cozy beds, a private bathroom, wood-burning fireplace with wood provided in season, and private balcony overlooking the Roaring Fork. Honeymoon suites and handicap-access rooms are also available. Room amenities include refrigerator, microwave, flat-screen TV’s with cable TV, in-room safes, free local calls, free Wi-Fi, hairdryer and coffeemaker.
Brookside Resort announces to all of our past and future guests, we are diligently updating and upgrading our rooms. Now available throughout the property are flat-screen TV’s, in-room safes and state-of-the-art Free Wi-Fi. Most rooms have newly installed carpeting with a tiled foyer entries and completely remodeled bathrooms. We continue to remodel a room a week.
The LeConte and Clingman Towers now have new 39” flat screen televisions and alarm clock/radio docking stations for our guests comfort. Our new linens feature a “down-like” comforter, triple sheeting and bed skirts. Recently new “Proximity Locks” were installed in the Clingman and Creekside buildings, replacing the traditional keys that guests once used. Currently we are remodeling the paneled walls, remodeling bathrooms and installing “Green” toilets and finishing the front lobby! (We’re remodeling one bathroom per week!) It looks great.
Never fear though – our remodeling with not interfere with your stay. The staff at Brookside is committed to making sure our guests have a restful, enjoyable stay.

The Reagan’s created a large family of dedicated guests who have stayed with Brookside Resort since 1931. We are committed to continuing this family tradition. Many of you came here as children and now your children are staying with us bringing their children to romp the Brookside grounds – making even more family memories here in the Great Smoky Mountains while staying at the Brookside Resort. Avid Fly Fisherman?
Brookside Resort is the “Dry Casting Education Center” for the oldest fishing shop in Gatlinburg: The Smoky Mountain Angler -located across the street from the hotel. Fishing season starts in March and you’ll see anglers practicing the “Art of Fly Casting” right on Brookside Resort’s front yard. The Fly Shop carries everything you need for a successful fishing trip in the Smokies. Fly tying classes, guided tours and equipment rental are also available. Call 865-436-8746. Note: Every Thursday the city of Gatlinburg releases trout into the Roaring Fork mountain stream that flows throughout Brookside Resort’s property so fishing is banned on Thursdays in town.

Did you know every month Brookside Resort donates a portion of room revenue to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park? Your stay automatically helps to improve trails, building maintenance and fund educational park projects. The Smoky’s are the only FREE National Park in the country, is the most visited because over 65% of the country can drive here in 10 hours or less.
