Brookside Resort

is a peaceful Gatlinburg Hotel Resort, nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.  We like to call ourselves “City Close – Country Quiet”.  The Gatlinburg Trolley stops at front lobby for your convenience. Parking is never an issue at Brookside. Our 10-acre property features the 3-story LeConte, 4-story Clingman and two 2-story buildings section we call Creekside. We have ample free parking even for bus groups – a rarity in Gatlinburg. The property provides free self-parking, property-wide Wi-Fi, a state-of-the-art Exercise Room, Guest Laundry, winding yet paved River Walk, two Covered Bridges, Basketball Court, Shuffle Board Court and gardens.  Swim and relax in one of our two outdoor pools – featuring slides and an eight-foot waterfall. There are lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy!

The LeConte and Clingman Towers feature our double Queen, King bedrooms and Honeymoon Suites – all provide spacious private stream-side balconies. Leconte Towers’ third floor features rustic beamed cathedral ceilings. The Roaring Fork Mountain Stream flows through the property year-round. That stream is never “quiet” and the sound of rushing, cascading waters lulls our guests to sleep. Tower rooms are extra-large and upgrades include wood-burning fireplaces (firewood is available for sale at the front office), kitchenettes and in-room whirlpool tubs.

Our Creekside section provides king beds or two-double sized beds. More economical than the towers; these streamside balcony rooms are also overlooking the Roaring Fork and feature refrigerators, microwaves, 32″ flat-screen TV’s, hairdryer and private bathroom. Creekside features its own outdoor swimming pool and gardens.

Our free “Hot” continental breakfast is served between 8 to 10am every morning. Breakfast features the Southern tradition “Biscuits & Gravy” as well as an “Oatmeal Bar” complete with brown sugar, chopped pecans, dried cranberries, raisins.  We also serve fresh pastries, cold cereal, coffee, milk and orange juice.   For those guests who choose to sleep in – Flapjacks – a well-known Gatlinburg pancake house – is located right across the street.

I recommend the Fireside Tower rooms which have wood burning fire places! They are roomier and comfortable and you have a private balcony overlooking the babbling brook which is very peaceful after a long day of adventure. The price is reasonable and the longer you stay the more discount you get!

My family and I have been staying here for about 6 years and we keep coming back. Brookside is a great family resort. The rooms are quite big. There is a balcony just outside your room that looks over the beautiful creek that is very peaceful especially at night.

SMOKY MOUNTAIN ANGLER

TROUT FISHING HEADQUARTERS

Brookside Resort is the “Dry Casting Education Center” for the oldest fishing shop in Gatlinburg: The Smoky Mountain Angler located across the street from the hotel. Fishing season starts in March and you’ll see anglers practicing the “Art of Fly Casting” right on Brookside’s front yard. The Fly Shop carries everything you need for a successful fishing trip in the Smokies. Fly tying classes, guided tours and equipment rental are also available. Call 865-436-8746. Note: every Thursday the city of Gatlinburg releases trout into the Roaring Fork mountain stream that flows throughout Brookside’s property so fishing is banned on Thursdays in town.

Improvements are Happening!

Brookside Resort announces to all of our past and future guests, we are diligently updating and upgrading our property features! Free large bandwidth Wi-Fi is now available throughout the property, as well as room safes and newly installed carpeting with a tiled foyer entry has been completed. The LeConte and Clingman Towers now have new 39” flat screen televisions and alarm clock/radio docking stations for our guests comfort. Our new linens feature a “down-like” comforter, triple sheeting and bedskirts. Recently new “Proximity Locks” were installed in the Clingman and Creekside buildings replacing the traditional keys that guests once used. Currently we are remodeling the paneled walls, installing “Green” toilets and finishing the front lobby! It looks great.

Never fear though – our remodeling with not interfere with your stay. The staff at Brookside is committed to making sure our guests have a restful, enjoyable stay.

Brookside Resort Covered Bridge going toward private cabin

The Reagan’s created a large family of dedicated guests who have stayed with Brookside Resort since 1931. We are committed to continuing this family tradition. Many of you came here as children and now your children are staying with us bringing their children to romp the Brookside grounds – making even more family memories here in the Great Smoky Mountains while staying at the Brookside Resort.

nonsmokingbr Our guest smokers are welcome to smoke on their private balcony on Brookside premises.  Ashtrays are provided.

We stayed here for 3 nights in June. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Two pools, kiddie pool, hot tub, exercise room, laundry facilities, hot breakfast, and an awesome view. The creekside view from every room is breathtaking as well! I highly recommend Brookside Resort and will stay there every time we are in the area!
